Satisfied with REA for 19 years
My name is Dennis van de Ven from Schijndel. I’ve been running my butcher’s shop for over 19 years now. I’ve been using REA shelving units from day one. And to be honest, even after all these years, they’re still in excellent condition.
Why did Dennis choose REA?
For me, the fact that the company was local played a big part at the time. REA is based in Schijndel. That appealed to me. I was also looking for products that would last a long time and could withstand a bit of a knock. The racking has more than lived up to those expectations.
What I particularly appreciate is their sturdiness. In a butcher’s shop, everything has to be robust. Trolleys and shelving units are put through their paces every day. So it’s reassuring when the materials don’t get damaged straight away if you bump into something. REA’s products are genuinely built for intensive use.
Which REA products does Dennis use in his butcher’s shop?
As well as the racking, we also use mobile trolleys. They make the work a lot easier. REA has also fitted out our spice cupboard and storage area. The racking really proves its worth every day, particularly in the cellar. Everything is neatly organised and securely in place.
The cover plates are also a godsend for us. Small items don’t fall through the shelving and stay neatly in place. That ensures a clearer overview and less hassle whilst we’re working.
Another advantage is maintenance. The shelving is easy to clean. In our line of work, that’s obviously important. What’s more, the materials retain their appearance for a long time.
The only downside: you only buy them once
Our partnership with REA has been a pleasure for years. They’re proactive and deliver quality. If I had to name one downside, it’s that you only buy the shelving once. After that, you won’t need new ones for years.
After 19 years of use, I can only say that the products do exactly what they’re supposed to. Sturdy, durable and built to withstand years of intensive use.
