The clean choice: plastic shelving from REA
Do you work in a sector where cleanliness is paramount and food safety is a top priority? Our plastic shelving complies with all HACCP guidelines. This ensures hygienic storage and means you don't have to worry about food safety.
- No residue between the edges. The shelving fits together seamlessly.
- No dirt/mould adhesion thanks to the smooth surface.
- This ensures safe food storage.
Can be assembled by one person
A plastic shelving unit from REA is easy to assemble by one person. In fact, it's a piece of cake, because no tools are required. Thanks to the mechanical connections, no screws or bolts are needed, which makes installation even easier.
Easy to clean
Soapy water is sufficient for cleaning plastic shelving. A sponge or damp cloth is ideal for successfully removing dirt and keeping the shelving in optimal condition. We do not recommend using a high-pressure cleaner in order to maintain the highest quality!
Plastic shelving for cold and heat
Storage environments can vary greatly in temperature, from freezing cold cold stores to warm, sunny locations. REA's plastic shelving has been specially developed to withstand extreme conditions. Thanks to its robust construction and high-quality materials, the plastic shelving can withstand temperatures from -40°C to +80°C without cracking, warping or losing quality.
Plastic shelving with an unprecedented lifespan
REA's plastic shelving is renowned for its exceptionally long lifespan. This is made possible by the way it is manufactured. PVC components made from virgin material are pressed together under high air and oil pressure, making the base material extremely strong.
REA works exclusively with mechanical connections, for several reasons, which ensures an extremely sturdy structure that will last a lifetime.
Excellent load-bearing capacity
REA racks are designed for intensive use and can easily handle a load of 200 kg per linear metre. The unique construction of the system prevents wear and damage, making the plastic racks practically indestructible.
Sustainable and 100% recyclable
Residual waste is kept to a minimum during production. A plastic shelving unit is fully recyclable. Even after decades of use, they can easily be given a second life, without any additional burden on the environment.
Plastic shelving unit with wheels
Would you like a plastic shelving unit with wheels? If so, please note the following points during assembly. Various wheel sets are available, including:
- Stainless steel/nylon
- Plastic/rubber
When purchasing a shelving unit, you can choose from additional options to further expand your shelving unit. You can also indicate that you would like REA to assemble the wheels. This ensures correct and safe attachment, immediately upon delivery.
Step-by-step wheel assembly
1. Remove the round cap and the overbus from the protruding leg
Use a screwdriver and preferably a rubber hammer for this. Place the screwdriver in the centre of the round cap and tap gently to create an opening.
Then pry the cap loose. Next, place the screwdriver on the edge of the overbus and tap it loose until it can be completely removed.
2. Remove the legs from the shelf.
Once the overbuses have been removed, you can easily pull the legs out of the shelf.
3. Insert the new legs with wheels
First, slide the supplied legs with wheels into the holes in the crossbars. Then slide them into the holes in the shelf, just as the previous legs were positioned.
4. Secure the new crossbars and round cap
Use the rubber mallet to firmly tap the new crossbars down over the legs. Finally, place the new round cap on the end and tap it into place.
